FireFlyz Landscape Care and Maintenance Tips

  • Do not bend - force, or rotate the Wire Strand or twist the lower base of the Fireflyz; this can damage the internal servos.

  • Do not force the stake - into hard soil. This can bend or break the stake and/or crack or detach the rotating lower base of the Fireflyz. When installing your Fireflyz, make sure the soil is soft and gently push in the Fireflyz until firmly and vertically seated in the soil and no closer than 1” from the base of the Fireflyz. IF your soil is hard, first create a wedge in the soil with a hand spade or shovel in which you can place the stake of the Fireflyz.

  • Storing - To prolong the life and usefulness of your Fireflyz, you may consider disconnecting them and removing your Fireflyz from your yard during the harsh winter and/or rainy months.

  • Optimal performance - The Stake needs to be secure and vertically upright for your Fireflyz to operate correctly.

  • Water resistant - Your Fireflyz is rated IP65. It can be operated in the rain and where sprinklers are present. It is recommended to avoid placing it near sprinklers since accumulation of water spots can build up on the exterior housing.

  • Do not submerge - FireFlyz should not be installed in a place where the water level reaches the base of the Fireflyz.

  • Cleaning - If the product becomes dusty or dirty, wash with a damp towel. Do not use detergent. If debris or objects get lodged between the housing and the rotating base or the rotating strand armature, gently remove the object so that the base and strand armature have a clearly visible gap on all sides.

  • Keep away from Lawn Maintenance equipment - Make sure that weed trimmers and lawnmowers do not come in contact with the FireFlyz. The LED Strand can be easily severed by a weed trimmer or lawn mower.
